The last time these two met, Buffalo won 41-40 on a September Sunday night in 2025, and the time before that the Bills won a playoff game 27-25. Bills vs Ravens on November 1 is the first visit by Baltimore to Buffalo's new Highmark Stadium, kicking off at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS (6 p.m. in the UK). Both teams changed head coaches over the winter. Here's the game in numbers.
7-7: nobody owns this one
The all-time series is tied at seven wins each, and the Bills have won both playoff meetings: the 2020 divisional round (played in January 2021) and the 27-25 game in January 2025. Then came that 41-40 opener in 2025. Recent meetings have been close and high scoring, so I wouldn't read much into the history beyond that.
Buffalo Bills
Baltimore Ravens5-1 and a bye
Buffalo went into its Week 7 bye at 5-1 and top of the AFC East. The only loss was 29-26 at home to New England on October 4. Joe Brady, promoted from offensive coordinator after Sean McDermott was fired in January, has kept the attack he built: the Bills have scored 197 points in six games, 32.8 a game, and won 37-34 in overtime against the Rams and 33-30 in Las Vegas in consecutive weeks.
The defense, now under Jim Leonhard, is the worry. Buffalo has allowed 171 points, or 28.5 a game, and has given up 30 or more four times.
| Through Week 6 | Bills | Ravens |
|---|---|---|
| Record | 5-1 | 4-2 |
| Points per game | 32.8 | 26.0 |
| Points allowed per game | 28.5 | 22.0 |
| Lead rusher | James Cook, 627 yds, 6 TD | Derrick Henry, 534 yds |
| Week 7 | Bye | vs Cincinnati |
17 touchdowns for Josh Allen
Allen has 1,504 passing yards, nine touchdown passes and four interceptions, plus 240 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns. That's 17 total touchdowns in six games, and he's done it mostly without D.J. Moore, the receiver Buffalo traded for in the spring, who missed the Raiders game with a shoulder injury.
James Cook, last season's rushing champion with 1,621 yards, is at 627 and 5.4 a carry. After a 57-yard opener in Houston he has run for between 75 and 154 yards in every game since.

Two missed games for Lamar Jackson
Baltimore's season turns on one ankle. Jackson sprained his left ankle in the 24-18 win over Tennessee on October 4 and missed the next two games. Tyler Huntley won the first of them, 30-23 in overtime in Atlanta, completing 24 of 32 passes for 201 yards and two touchdowns. The second was a 13-10 loss in Cleveland, where the offense never got going.
Jesse Minter, the first-year head coach who replaced John Harbaugh, called Jackson day-to-day before the Bengals game. Whether he plays in Buffalo is the single biggest question in this preview, and it may not be answered until late in the week.
534 yards for Derrick Henry
Henry turns 33 in January and was fifth in the league in rushing after five games, with 476 yards, and he scored in each of those games before a quiet day in Cleveland: 58 yards, a lost fumble and no touchdown. If Jackson is out, I'd expect Baltimore to lean on Henry even harder.
The Ravens' defense also has new pieces. Trey Hendrickson signed for four years and $112 million after leaving Cincinnati, and he joins Kyle Hamilton, Roquan Smith and Nnamdi Madubuike under coordinator Anthony Weaver.
60,108 seats in the new place

The new stadium in Orchard Park, built next to the old one, which is now being demolished, holds 60,108 for Bills games, about 13,000 fewer than its predecessor. Buffalo is 2-1 there so far in the regular season: 41-31 over Detroit in the Thursday home opener, 24-16 over the Chargers, then the loss to New England. It's also the first NFL stadium in the US to play the Canadian anthem before every home game.
4 days to the next one
Baltimore hosts Jacksonville on Thursday, November 5, four days after this. Buffalo, meanwhile, will have had two weeks since its last game. That Thursday date may shape how far Minter pushes a half-healed quarterback.
Buffalo Bills
Baltimore RavensBills vs Ravens prediction
If Jackson plays and looks like himself, this could be another shootout, and I'd make it close to a coin toss. If Huntley starts, Buffalo's offense should be too much. The Bills' defense will give up yards either way.
I'll take the Bills by six. They've had the week off, they're at home, and Allen is producing touchdowns at a rate few quarterbacks can match.
Buffalo then hosts Kansas City on Thanksgiving, November 26, so you can keep an eye on the AFC's other contender through our Chiefs live stream page and the Broncos vs Chiefs preview.
Watching from anywhere
CBS has the game, and it streams on Paramount+. The Bills' official schedule lists the time and network, but coverage in the 1 p.m. window is regional, so check local listings. Note that the clocks go back in the US that morning.
